Crystal Diamond Microdermabrasions

Microdermabrasion Treatment

An excellent approach to skin resurfacing, Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation that will loosen, and then vacuum the outer keratin layer (dead cells) of the skin.  Much less aggressive and not to be confused with laser resurfacing, microdermabrasion is a non-surgical treatment that does not require an anesthetic.  Regular removal of the dead cells will enhance the skin’s ability to absorb skin care products and can improve the appearance of:Brown spots

Shallow acne scars

Discoloration

Sun-damage

Dull skin

Tone and Texture

Microdermabrasion treatment can be combined with light and superficial chemical solutions to enhance the result. Regular treatments stimulate the production of new skin and collagen thus improving the appearance of fine lines.

Microdermabrasion is often called a “lunch hour” treatment because it’s a quick procedure that can be performed during your lunch hour with little or no discomfort.

The treated skin may be pink after the treatment, but this will usually fade within a few hours. You can apply makeup immediately after undergoing microdermabrasion to conceal any visible signs of the treatment.

Microdermabrasion is among the most favorable of all the non-invasive facial treatments available today. The microderm experience is much like getting a facial but with a more aggressive form of exfoliation. Adding a customized mask makes this the ultimate facial treatment.

At It’s Permanent we offer both Crystal and Diamond Microdermabrasion

What Is The Difference Between Crystal And Diamond Microdermabrasion?

Diamond Microdermabrasion relies on microdermabrasion tips covered in tiny diamonds to perform skin exfoliation. When the diamond microdermabrasion tip makes contact with the skin it abrades against the top layer pulling it off. The microdermabrasion machine then vacuums the loose dead skin cells away from the face.

The diamonds on the microdermabrasion tip are actually thousands of tiny diamond particles which are uniformly sized. Diamond microdermabrasion tips come in varying sizes. The diamond tip we use depends on your individual skin condition:

100 for course skin

200 for normal skin

300 for sensitive skin

Crystal Microdermabrasion is a process of sand-blasting the skin using a controlled flow of microcrystals. In essence, it is a mild-to-moderate mechanical peel performed using a stream of fine crystals. The crystals along with the loose skin cells are then vacuumed away.

Both Crystal and Diamond microdermabrasion take 30-45 minutes to complete a single procedure, and require the same number of treatments to get the same results.

Some advocates of diamond microdermabrasion will claim that Diamond is more effective than Crystal microdermabrasion; however, results appear to be the same.

Diamond and Crystal microdermabrasion procedures are exactly the same in how they are performed. We pass the wand over each area of your skin two-three times depending on skin thickness and condition.

Areas closer to the eyes and mouth can be abraded more accurately with diamond tips (no risk of stray crystals causing damage or being ingested). Other than that, Crystal and Diamond microdermabrasion work in the same way.

Our microdermabrasions include face, neck and declotage. Extractions, if needed, are always a part of the treatment as well as the application of appropriate skin- nourishing products such as hyaluronic acid and grape seed lotion. Extra care is given to the eyes and lips.
